Processed Food
Here’s where things can get dangerous. At this point ingredients are being added to foods for various reasons such as shelf life, or even just to add addictive properties. In some cases, nutrients are being removed for better shelf life. These items interfere with either the liver or the gut. Not usually both.
- Bacon
- Canned fish
- Canned foods with added salt, sugars or vinegar
- Coconut fat
- Dried, smoked, and cured meat & fish
- Jerky
- Nuts with added sugar, salts, or other ingredients

- Fruit Juice
When an item specifies “fresh” it means it hasn’t been packaged to sell in a store.
